Noah Hawley says his Doctor Doom movie is “done” at Marvel

August 13, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Seeming to suggest that his Doctor Doom film isn’t going anywhere, Noah Hawley says the film is “done” at Marvel and Disney.

Now that Disney own all the Fox Marvel properties like the X-Men and Fantastic Four, fans have been waiting on word on the status of a number of properties, including Legion creator Noah Hawley’s Doctor Doom movie.

Hawley recently spoke to Deadline, saying that the Doctor Doom project is “done” and its future uncertain:

“I mean, where it stands is now that the movie is done and Legion is done and I’ve taken a little time off because someone told me there was this word ‘vacation,’ which means you don’t work, which sounded really interesting to me. But you know, I need to circle back to them and announce that I would love to make it and figure out if that’s something that is possible. Whether or not they already have a plan in place for what to do with those characters or whether they’re open to my kind of vision for what to do with those characters. But it’s sort of on me right now to go push them, which I will do as soon as I come up for air.”

So there may still be hope for the film or Hawley’s future involvement in the MCU, but it seems that the onus is on him to make something happen. Are you interested in seeing his take on a Doctor Doom solo movie? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter @flickeringmyth…
