Deadline is reporting that studio bidding is underway on Shadow Force, an action-drama package produced by and starring Kerry Washington (Scandal) and Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us).
Shadow Force has been written by Leon Chills (Heaven Hath No Fury), and while specific plot details are being kept under wraps, the film is said to be “a fresh take on Mr. and Mrs. Smith.” A buyer is expected to be announced this coming week.
Washington is currently shooting Little Fires Everywhere, a limited series from director Lynn Shelton (Your Sisters’ Sister), while Brown has The Angry Birds Movie 2 in cinemas now and the romantic drama Waves, action thriller The Rhythm Section and animated sequel Frozen 2 all incoming before the year is out.
