The Fisherman – Fishing Planet is now available to pre-order

Fishing Planet Studio has announced that the premium version of their hit free to play title The Fisherman – Fishing Planet is now available to pre-order ahead of its launch on 17th October on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.  Those who pre-order will be rewarded with exclusive content and preorder bonuses.

The Fisherman – Fishing Planet provides lots of extra content for eager fans, including new fishing location, more fish species, new motorboats and more.  This edition will feature all content that has been released to date which amounts to more than 30 DLCs worth of content.

Features of the game that fans may recognise from the free to play edition to include:

  • 138 species of fish each with realistic behaviour and responses.
  • 18 scenic water locations with authentic backgrounds and vegetation.
  • Thousands of tackle combinations available to try out and each with unique properties.
  • Dynamic weather, different seasons and a day/night cycle to provide a realistic experience.
  • Online competitions playable solo or co-op plus the chance to earn trophies and beat your friends with the ranking system.

Features exclusive to the Premium Edition include:

  • The new French La Creuse waterway to explore.
  • A new fishing technique – Trolling.
  • 4 new fish species to catch, including Common Nase in La Creuse, European Weatherfish in Lesní Víla Fishery, Sterlet in the Akhtouba River and the Spotted Gar in the Mudwater River, Missouri.
  • 2 new motorboats – the Garry Scott Taurus and the Flaggmann Vega.

There will also be two fishing equipment packs available for when the game releases, these are the “Trophy Catch Pack” and “Predator Boat Pack”.

Fishing season starts on October 17th on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
