Stealth RPG Shadowy Contracts now on Steam Early Access

October 4, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Canadian developer Mark Nasr has released his stealth RPG, Shadowy Contracts, onto Steam Early Access.  Inspired by medieval movies and the classic stealth games from the late ‘90s, this title features a large open world, extensive character customisation and sharp graphics.

In Shadowy Contracts the land is plagued by violence but changes are afoot as the noble King Arthur ascends the throne.  However, these changes could take a while to happen and, not willing to sit around and wait, our protagonist joins a secret assassin organisation to eliminate wicked and villainous targets for profit.  Taking the role of this would-be assassin, players will take on contracts to rid the world of villains and cut-throats and in the process earn more gold that can be used to purchase weapons, armour and enchant effects that can be used to make contracts go more smoothly.

Shadowy Contracts features:

  • 52 different weapons and 38 sets of armour to loot and buy.
  • Learn abilities and spells using the talent tree.
  • Tackle 7 challenging contracts and 4 battle levels.
  • Levels and enemies scale with the player.
  • An extensive character creation system.

“I’ve loved playing games from a very young age. I used to wonder about how they were actually made – and if I would ever be able to create my own games one day. A part of me has always been fascinated by the stealth genre and what makes those games tick – even more so with games such as Skyrim that combine stealth and combat! After studying software engineering and spending a few years working on smaller games, I finally had the chance to develop my own title. I’m thrilled that it’s finally out – and I can’t wait to hear from players.” said Mark Nasr, Lead Developer & Founder, ExiledThunder Productions
