February 5, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Fans of Netflix’ The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance are now able to jump into the world of the Gelflings in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac.  This strategy RPG from En Masse Entertainment and developer Bonus XP will take players to the faithfully recreated world of Thra where a battle against the Skeksis awaits.  Check out the game’s new launch trailer below…

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics will take players to the land of Thra where a battle rages between good and evil, Gelfling and Skeksis.  Players will need to build up their team of Gelflings and lead in battle against their oppressive overlords, the Skeksis.  As players progress through an expansive fantasy story they will be able to explore various locations and learn more about the different Gelfling tribes and their histories.

Throughout the game players will be able to customise units with different gear and upgradeable abilities and use these in turn based combat to develop a strategy suitable to them. Although always be prepared to change strategy as dynamic events on the battlefield can crop up that may create either opportunities or disadvantages to the Gelflings.

Featuring:

  • Over 50 unique multi-layered, turn-based tactical RPG battles.
  • Discover and explore a variety of vibrant and unpredictable locations, such as Gelfling homesteads, arid deserts and lush forests.
  • Try out 4 playable characters, including familiar faces from series 1 of the Netflix series.
  • Recruit and customise brand new and familiar allies – assign them jobs, modify their abilities and outfit them with new equipment.

The battle against the Darkening is available now on PC, Mac and consoles.
