Sci-fi puzzler The Turing Test available now on Nintendo Switch

February 7, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Square Enix Collective and developer Bulkhead Interactive have today released their gorgeous first-person puzzler The Turing Test on the Nintendo Switch. This challenging first-person puzzler takes players deep into the depths of our solar system to solve a peculiar mystery. Check out the new trailer below…

In The Turing Test, players take the role of Ava Turing, an International Space Agency (ISA) engineer sent to Jupiter’s moon Europa to solve the mysterious disappearance of the ground crew that was stationed there.  When she arrives on Europa there are no bodies, no trace of fighting or illness, instead a series of puzzles that have apparently been set by the missing ground crew and which, according to the station’s AI, can only be solved by a human.

Ava has no weapon, instead the ISA equipped her with the Energy Manipulation Tool (EMT) which players can use to transfer power between machines, bypass hazardous locations and solve the puzzles before finally learning the true cost of human morality.

Featuring:

  • A unique twist on gameplay mechanics and puzzle logic thanks to the EMT.
  • Switch between multiple perspectives to solve The Turing Test’s most challenging puzzles.
  • Discover a story that challenges concepts of human morality and which gives players freedom to decide what happened to the ISA crew.

“The Turing Test for PC was one of the first games published by Collective, and as we continue our close relationship with developer Bulkhead Interactive we’re delighted to now be coming full circle to with this release on the Nintendo Switch – it’s a great game for a great console,” said Phil Elliott, head of Collective and director of indie publishing at Square Enix.

The Turing Test is available now on the Nintendo eShop.
