Nickelodeon announces voice cast for CG-animated SpongeBob SquarePants prequel series

February 24, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Last year it was revealed that Nickelodeon had granted a series order to Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, a CG-animated prequel to beloved SpongeBob SquarePants, and now we’ve got word on the voice cast for the series.

As revealed by THR, the 13-episode series will reunite original SpongeBob SquarePants cast members Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton), along with series veterans Mary Jo Catlett (Mrs. Puff), Jill Talley (Karen) and Lori Alan (Pearl), while Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911!) and Kate Higgins (Ralph Breaks the Internet) will voice new characters.

Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years will follow a ten-year-old SpongeBob and his pals as they attend summer camp. It is set to premiere on Nickelodeon in July, while fans also have the feature film The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run to look forward to this May.
