Report: The Walking Dead’s Cailey Fleming joins Marvel’s Loki as Enchantress

March 5, 2020 by Ricky Church

Marvel’s upcoming Disney+ series Loki has reportedly added a new member to its cast. Joining Tom Hiddleston in the series will be Cailey Fleming (The Walking Dead) as Sylvie Lushton, a.k.a. the Echantress.

Sylvie Lushton is a young girl who Loki gives powers to as part of his schemes. In the comics, she is the second Enchantress and a member of the Young Avengers team, though she has also joined some supervillain teams on occasion.

In The Walking Dead, Fleming portrays Judith Grimes, the daughter of Lori Grimes and Shane Walsh, in the ninth and tenth seasons of the AMC series. She also portrayed a young Rey in some flashbacks for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Fleming joins a cast that also includes Owen Wilson (Wedding Crashers), Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday) and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (A Wrinkle in Time). Their roles are being kept under wraps though Di Martino might appear as a female version of Loki.

Loki sees Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the God of Mischief – the alternate, still-evil God of Mischief from Avengers: Endgame – and follows him as “the trickster and shapeshifter pops up throughout human history as unlikely influencer on historical events.”

Loki has been developed by Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty), with Kate Herron (Daybreak), and is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2021.
