American Horror Story season 10 delayed, FX confirms spin-off series

May 26, 2020 by EJ Moreno

It looks like fans of the long-running FX series American Horror Story will have to wait a little longer for their next fix. The network, ahead of corporate parent Disney’s upfront presentation, has confirmed up its release slate through 2021 with FX revealing that the forthcoming tenth season of American Horror Story, which traditionally airs in October for Halloween, has been delayed to 2021.

The series was gearing up to begin production with the cast and crew beginning to arrive on location. Like many television and film production, work was halted due to lockdowns being set in place around the world. With Ryan Murphy teasing a moody, rainy atmosphere, it seems like locking down the right time to shoot is essential.

We covered a story two weeks about an Instagram post from Ryan Murphy, where he revealed he was working on a spin-off to his hit series. The Disney-owned cable network has now confirmed the anthology spin-off, adding it to its upcoming slate of 2021 releases. No word on cast or crew, but it’s hinted that the title will be American Horror Stories and focus on a new topic each episode, instead of the usual season theme.

Are you excited to see American Horror Stories? Could this hold AHS fans over until the tenth season is ready to air? Share your thoughts in the comments below or by reaching out to us via our social channels…
