Daredevil showrunner was working on Netflix’s Conan series but has left the project

October 2, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Steven DeKnight, the former showrunner of Daredevil, was at one point working on the recently announced Conan series for Netflix.

Conan fans got a big piece of good news today with the announcement that Netflix is currently working on a brand new TV series.

The franchise seems to be coming back in a big way and at one point in time, Steven DeKnight – the former showrunner for Netflix’s Daredevil – was leading the project.

Speaking on Twitter (via ComicBook.com) in response to the Conan news, DeKnight said: “Sad but true: I was attached to spearhead this before Netflix and I parted ways.”

DeKnight exited his deal and the project last year. Fans of Daredevil know full well what he can achieve when running a TV series so its a shame this didn’t pan out. Hopefully, Conan will be a big success regardless.
