Justice League shooting back-to-back with Batman vs. Superman?

January 13, 2014 by admin

We all know Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) won’t be the only DC heroes to appear on screen in 2015’s Batman vs. Superman, with Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) cast as Wonder Woman and the likes of Nightwing, Green Lantern, Cyborg and Aquaman all rumoured as possible additions. Oh, and Dwayne Johnson has stated he’ll be shooting a DC movie this year too. So, I think we’re all in agreement that if the talk is true, that’s an awful lot to fit in one movie.

Now, chalk this one down firmly as a rumour, but if the latest report from Latino-Review about Batman vs. Superman is to believed, we may just have an answer to all that “secret Justice League movie” speculation surrounding Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel. According to this latest report, the reason we’re getting so many characters linked to the film isn’t down to an insane amount of guesswork, but rather because Warner Bros. plans to shoot Batman vs. Superman back to back with Justice League, a la The Matrix and Pirates of the Carribbean sequels and The Hobbit trilogy, and will end Batman vs. Superman “with an insane cliffhanger / teaser that leads right into Justice League” which will then hit cinemas in 2016.

Given that Batman vs. Superman starts filming next month and we’ve heard absolutely nothing in the way of Justice League news (script, locations, cast…), it would be a huge surprise if this pans out. But, we’ll find out soon enough.
