Peyton Reed talks Ant-Man and the Wasp, Hank Pym will play a huge part

December 3, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Out and about on the press tour for the home-entertainment release of Ant-Man, director Peyton Reed has been offering up a few words about the 2018 sequel, discussing the relationship between Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) in Ant-Man and the Wasp, as well as confirming that Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym will play a major role.

“Part of thing that we’re going to explore, as shown in the comics, is how [Ant-Man and Wasp] are such a great duo and partnership,” Reed tells Newsarama. “Part of that, in any partnership, is how they relate to each other as people. Where will their personal relationship be at that point, and what will be their fighting style together?”

“We have tons of notes and things we set up in [Ant-Man],” Reed adds to Comic Book. “Michael and Hank Pym [are] gonna be a huge part of the movie, still. As for time jumping and different eras, that remains to be seen.”

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set for release on July 6th 2018.
