Stubbs The Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is reborn for PC and consoles

March 16, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Aspyr Media have made one little writer very happy today by announcing the re-release of his all-time favourite zombie game on any computer/console ever, Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse.  I purchased this from the Microsoft Store many moons ago for my Xbox 360 and played it more than any man should, even passing on the passion to my son. Stubbs is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC.  Aspyr has also released a brand new trailer for this dusty old zombie, see below.

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse takes players back in time to 1959, to the city of Punchbowl.  Punchbowl is a gleaming metropolis and a beacon to progress and the American way of life.  Though if Stubbs has his way there isn’t going to be that much life left once he’s finished his mission. There’s people in Punchbowl who think they’ve escaped the past but Stubbs has returned to show them how wrong they are.

Smells like something died…..literally! The power of a fart!

Stubbs is a unique zombie, not only does he use his teeth to great effect (eating brains or converting the living into not so living), he’s also able to kill using zombie sputum, gut grenades  and unholy flatulence.  It’s even possible for him to remove his hand and lob it towards an enemy and clamp it to their head to control them (it’s wonderful to see someone with a gun shoot someone in the head to defend a zombie).

Best of all, invite a friend to join you as Grubbs for some classic couch co-op fun.

All I want to know now is can I re-download my previous game save onto my Xbox One?

“Stubbs the Zombie is a menace to society and must be stopped,” said Andrew Monday, billionaire playboy industrialist and mayor of Punchbowl. “Is re-releasing him into society even legal?”

Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse is available now from the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop and Steam.
