With The Hateful Eight set to open in the States on Christmas Day, it seems that Quentin Tarantino is mulling over another western, with the filmmaker telling Premiere that he’s considering a TV adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel Forty Lashes Less One.
“It always takes me a while before thinking about the future, states Tarantino. “That said, I own the rights to this book I’ve wanted to adapt for a while, and the time may have come for me to tackle it. This is Forty Lashes Less One, by Elmore Leonard which could be my third Western. I’m considering taking the project to TV, in the form of a mini-series of four or six hours.”

Now, it should probably be noted that Tarantino often talks up a number of projects in between films, so don’t be surprised if this one fails to materialise.
