Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have announced that Sydney Lemmon (Helstrom, Fear the Walking Dead) has been cast as Vicky in Firestarter, the upcoming adaptation of the classic Stephen King novel.
Lemmon joins the previously announced Ryan Kiera Armstrong (The Tomorrow War), Zac Efron (The Greatest Showman), Gloria Reuben (City on a Hill) and Michael Greyeyes (True Detective) in the cast of the film, which is in production now under director Keith Thomas (The Vigil).

Firestarter follows a young girl who develops pyrokinetic abilities and is abducted by a secret government agency that wants to harness her powerful gift as a weapon. King’s novel was previously adapted for the big screen in 1984, with a young Drew Barrymore in the title role.
