Robin Givens joins Batwoman for season 3 role

July 10, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Robin Givens is set for another of The CW and Berlanti Productions’ comic book adaptations, with Deadline reporting that the Riverdale actress is set for a key role in the upcoming third season of the DC series Batwoman.

According to the trade, Givens will play Jada Jet, whose official character description reads: “A powerful CEO for Jet Industries, Jada isn’t bossy: she’s the boss. Passionate and hard working, a woman who has worked her way through life’s ups and downs to climb her way to the top — all while being extremely protective over her impetuous son. A woman with a deep past that forced her to give up her first-born child, Jada is a woman with a good heart, but will do whatever it takes to protect her family.”

Season three of Batwoman sees Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder continuing in the title role as the DC heroine, while the cast also includes Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang, and Camrus Johnson. As yet, there’s no word on a premiere date for the new season, but January 2022 looks a likely bet.
