Mark Romanek to direct Casey Affleck in Boston Strangler

January 9, 2014 by admin

Although he sadly dropped out of what would have been an incredibly creepy adaptation of Cinderella, Never Let Me Go and One Hour Photo director Mark Romanek has signed onto directed crime drama the Boston Strangler for Warner Bros.

Variety reports that Casey Affleck, who has been on board to produce since last year, will also star in the film, which will have a tone similar to David Fincher’s Se7en and Zodiac.

Mark Romanek is a talented director and has a very good eye for making the drab incredibly disturbing. Boston Strangler is yet to get an official release date, but we’ll keep you updated with info as it comes.
