Jack Quaid joins the cast of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer

February 16, 2022 by Liam Waddington

According to Deadline, The Boys and Scream (2022) actor Jack Quaid is the latest addition to the cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming biopic Oppenheimer in a currently undisclosed role.

Quaid will star alongside a stacked cast that already includes Nolan regular Cillian Murphy (Peaky Blinders), as well as Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place Part II), Matt Damon (Stillwater), Robert Downey Jr. (Avengers: Endgame), Florence Pugh (Black Widow), Rami Malek (No Time to Die), Benny Safdie (Licorice Pizza), and the recently announced Dane DeHaan (Lisey’s Story).

The film, which will be written by Nolan and based on the biography American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin, will be a biopic on Oppenheimer (Murphy) and the development of the atomic bomb in World War II. Blunt will portray Oppenheimer’s wife Katherine “Kitty” Vissering Oppenheimer.

Oppenheimer will mark Nolan’s first movie for Universal, after parting ways from his usual directorial home at Warner Bros. The film will also feature backstage Nolan regulars including producers Emma Thomas and Charles Roven, director of photography Hoyte Van Hotema, editor Jennifer Lame, and composer Ludwig Göransson.
