Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong gets a new gameplay trailer

March 18, 2022 by Andrew Newton

With narrative RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong just a little over two months away before it is released, NACON and Big Bad Wolf Studio have released a brand new gameplay video can see more of the intrigue and secrecy of the nocturnal organisation.  Watch the new trailer below…

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong a crisis has struck the Boston vampire community as a group of mysterious assassins attack the Boston Camarilla, the secret society consisting of the majority of Boston’s vampires. To discover who is responsible for the attack and the motivation for it, Hazel Iverson tasks Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis and Leysha with investigating who was responsible and infiltrating them, using supernatural powers if necessary.

Galeb Bazory, Emem Louis and Leysha have character sheets that can be fully compromised by the players, developing skills such as speech and persuasion, the ability to hack computers, pick locks and much more.  Each character also have their very own vampire powers, Leysha can Obfuscate to conceal her presence, Emem uses Celerity to reach inaccessible locations and Galeb can control others using Domination.  Using vampire powers comes with the high price of needing to drink blood, fall short of blood and the inner beast takes control and affects what actions can be done.  To ensure this doesn’t happen, the heroes can feed off humans providing it is not in sight of others so as to maintain the Masquerade.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong features some particularly twisted individuals that will trigger confrontations and there are many scripted events that will need players to keep their head and make the right choices, despite the time constraints.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will be available on PC and consoles on 19th May.
