Love is complicated in the trailer for Hulu’s high school rom-com Crush

April 7, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

Hoping they’ve stumbled onto the same Gen Z formula that made Booksmart the high water mark for school related rom-coms, Hulu have dropped the trailer for Crush, a coming-of-age Queer romance that stars Snowpiercer’s Rowan Blanchard as an art student who joins the track team in order to get closer to the girl of her dreams; check it out below…

When an aspiring young artist is forced to join her high school track team, she uses it as an opportunity to pursue the girl she’s been harboring a long-time crush on. But she soon finds herself falling for an unexpected teammate and discovers what real love feels like.

Directed by Sammi Cohen, and written by Kirsten King and Casey Rackham, Crush stars Rowan Blanchard, Avli’i Cravalho, Isabella Ferreira, Tyler Alvarez, Teala Dunn, Rico Paris, and Addie Weyrich.  Aasif Mandvi, Michelle Buteau, and Megan Mullally.

Crush streams on Hulu from April 29th.
