Two classic arcade collections coming to Evercade this July

April 30, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Blaze Entertainment has announced they will be releasing two new Arcade collections for the popular Evercade system this July.  The Jaleco Arcade 1 collection will bring eight classic titles while the Gaelco Arcade 2 will bring six games from the Spanish arcade publisher.  Both will be available to pre-order from the end of May.  A new announcement trailer can be seen below providing a glimpse of the games included.

The Jaleco Arcade 1 collection provides eight games from one of Japan’s most well known game publishers.  As well as producing some fantastic arcade games, Jaleco also produced multiple games on 8-bit and 16-bit consoles.  Gamers will be able to enjoy platformers and shoot-em-ups.

Games included in this collection are:

  • Rod Land
  • The Astyanax
  • Saint Dragon
  • 64th Sreet: A Detective Story
  • E.D.F Earth Defence Force
  • Avenging Spirit
  • CyBattler
  • P-47: The Phantom Fighter

The Gaelco Arcade 2 collection features a variety of genres, including sports titles, racing, a puzzler and a platformer and many of these have never seen a release outside of the arcades.  Due to the security placed on the arcade PCBs, these games have been difficult to emulate correctly so this collection is likely to be very well received.

Games in this collection include:

  • Big Karnak
  • Maniac Square
  • Squash
  • TH Strikes Back: Thunder Hoop 2
  • Touch And Go
  • World Rally 2

The Jaleco Arcade 1 and Gaelco Arcade 2 collections will be available to pre-order from 31st May and be in stores late July.
