Deadpool 3 brings back fan favorites Dopinder and Blind Al

April 1, 2023 by EJ Moreno

As the Deadpool movies enter the Marvel Studios era, the transition will be easier with a few beloved characters.

Deadline reports Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams will return for Deadpool 3, reprising their roles of Dopinder and Blind Al, respectively. They are the first announced characters returning from the previous installments, along with Ryan Reynolds.

The duo join the previously announced Hugh Jackman, Matthew Macfadyen, and Emma Corrin. Jackman will bring to life his iconic Wolverine again, and has hinted he might even have a dual role in the film.

Both Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams played crucial roles in the first two Deadpool movies, rounding out the supporting cast and giving Deadpool two targets for jokes. Karan Soni is no stranger to Marvel projects, as the actor recently joined Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as Pavitr Prabhakar / Spider-Man India.

This upcoming third Deadpool entry marks the first under the Marvel Studios banner, with Kevin Feige producing what is also the MCU’s first R-rated film.

Deadpool 3 will star Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Matthew Macfadyen, and Emma Corrin. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin are writing the film, and Shawn Levy (Free Guy) is on board as director.
