New trailer for Gerard Butler action thriller Kandahar

Ahead of its theatrical release this May, a new trailer has arrived online for Kandahar, the upcoming action thriller which sees director Ric Roman Waugh once again team up with his Angel Has Fallen and Greenland star Gerard Butler.

The film stars Butler as an undercover CIA operative who must flee from hostile territory in Afghanistan with his translator, avoiding enemy forces after his mission is exposed. Watch the trailer below…

Tom Harris (Gerard Butler), an undercover CIA operative, is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan. After his mission is exposed, he must fight his way out, alongside his Afghan translator, to an extraction point in Kandahar, all whilst avoiding elite enemy forces and foreign spies tasked with hunting them down.

Joining Gerard Butler in the cast of Kandahar are Navid Negahban, Ali Fazal, Travis Fimmel, and Elnaaz Norouzi.

Kandahar arrives in cinemas on May 26th.
