Netflix finds its Violet and Klaus for A Series of Unfortunate Events

January 28, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this month it was revealed that Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) is to play Count Olaf for the upcoming Lemony Snicket TV adaptation A Series of Unfortunate Events, and now Netflix has announced that it has found two of its Baudelaire children.

Malina Weissman, who plays the young Kara Zor-El in Supergirl and also appeared as a young April O’Neil in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, is set to play Violet, while newcomer Louis Hynes has been cast as Klaus.

A Series of Unfortunate Events is set to be directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, who will also executive producer alongside Lemony Snicket himself, author Daniel Handler.
