Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal sci-fi Foe to be released theatrically in October

August 16, 2023 by Ricky Church

Amazon Studios will release its upcoming sci-fi Foe from director Garth Davis (Lios) will be getting a theatrical release this fall. Foe has a release date of October 6th and stars Saoirse Ronan (Little Women) and Paul Mescal (Aftersun) in the film.

Foe is based on the Ian Reid novel with the screenplay adaptation written by Reid and Davis. The film will see Ronan and Paul Mescal in “a haunting exploration of marriage and identity set in an uncertain world. Hen and Junior farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior’s family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger (Aaron Pierre) shows up at their door with a startling proposal. The pic dotes on the persistent questions about the nature of humanity (and artificial humanity) in the not-too-distant future.”

The film is produced by Davis, Kerry Kohansky-Roberts, Emile Sherman and Iain Canning with Reid serving as an executive producer alongside Dawn Olmstead, David Levine, Robert Walak and Samantha Lang.

Foe will be released in theatres October 6th.
