The first trailer for Zelda Williams’ horror comedy Lisa Frankenstein has been released. In this twisted modern day retelling of Mary Shelley’s iconic classic adapted by Juno and Jennifer’s Body writer Diablo Cody, Kathryn Newton stars as Lisa Frankenstein who somehow brings the corpse of a young high schooler, played by Cole Sprouse, back to life and go on a little murder spree as they develop feelings for each other. A coming of rage love story from acclaimed writer Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body) about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse. After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness … and a few missing body parts along the way.
Lisa Frankenstein stars Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania), Cole Sprouse (Riverdale), Carla Gugino (The Haunting of Hill House), Liza Soberano (Alone/Together), Joe Chrest (Stranger Things), and Henry Eikenberry (The Crowded Room).
Lisa Frankenstein will be released on February 9th.
