Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream trailer teases large-scale multiplayer adventure

February 23, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Bandai Namco Europe has announced that Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, their upcoming large scale, multiplayer focused adventure will be released this year on Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch and Steam.  Registrations are also currently available for those interested in taking part in the Closed Beta Test taking place in March.

Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is a brand new adventure taking place in the world of the popular Sword Art Online series.

In the new adventure a serious malfunction occurs when a new system is applied to the world of Alfheim Online.  This malfunction causes all the worlds and timelines to collide and merge and results in a unique and challenging environment for Kirito and the other players to survive in.  With everyone lost in a dangerous mixed-up world, enemies become allies, departed friends return and unlikely alliances are made.

Players will find Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream offers them an original story focused on a large-scale co-op experience and will be able to play as some of their all-time favourite characters from the first three seasons of the animated series and Sword Art Online movies.

A Closed Beta Test will be taking place from 11th – 17th March, giving players the opportunity to take part in this cross-play battle action game featuring thrilling boss raids and co-op quests.  Fans of SAO can register for the Closed Beta by visiting the official website.

Look out for Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream arriving on PC and consoles later this year.
