All must choose in House of the Dragon season 2 trailers

March 21, 2024 by Ricky Church

With the second season of House of the Dragon premiering on the newly announced date of June 16th, HBO has released two new trailers for the series’ anticipated return. Each trailer focuses on the Blacks and the Greens, the two factions that have divided the Targaryen dynasty as the realm fights for who they believe has the right to the Iron Throne. Watch the trailers below…

House of the Dragon takes place nearly 200 years before Game of Thrones and follows the famous Dance of Dragons, a civil war within the Targaryen family between Rhaenyra Targaryen and her half-brother Aegon as they both vie for the Iron Throne and the right to rule the Seven Kingdoms per their late father’s wishes. The battle divides the realm like no other conflict and has terrible long-lasting consequences for the realm and the Targaryen dynasty.

House of the Dragon features a cast that includes the returning Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno,  Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall and Matthew Needham, along with new additions Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne, Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.
