Zack Snyder to tackle the French Foreign Legion in Until The Last One

March 25, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Zack Snyder is tackling the French Foreign Legion in a new TV drama.

Per Deadline, the filmmaker is set to produce Until The Last One with Deborah Snyder (Wonder Woman) and Wesley Coller (Rebel Moon). The series will be produced by AGC Television.

Until The Last One will have six one-hour episodes and follows a British deserter from the infamous French Foreign Legion who is found twenty years after fleeing the harsh reality of his mercenary service and forced back with the new recruits in the thick of danger. The series will chart the violence and the politics of the global hotspots where the Legion are sent to fight and the emotional stories and scars carried by its recruits.

Eli Snyder, the son of Zack and Deborah, will direct the pilot.

“We are thrilled to be working with the teams at AGC and Vertigo and reuniting with our old friends at Hollywood Gang,” stated Deborah and Zack Snyder of The Stone Quarry. “To be working with Eli whose growth and evolution as a filmmaker has been so exciting to watch. It is a terrific script about this secretive world we are excited for audiences to dive in to.”

AGC Studios chief creative officer Lourdes Diaz adds, “We are incredibly excited to join forces with Stone Quarry, Vertigo, and Hollywood Gang on this visionary project. We think Eli’s distinctive directorial vision with [showrunner Matthew Parkhill’s] powerful international thriller storytelling make this a uniquely compelling series for the international marketplace.”
