Tank commanders will get a treat this May as the hit anime Girls und Panzer makes its return to World of Tanks. From 16th to 31st May, players will get the opportunity to enlist three renowned crews and get new Premium vehicles inspired by the anime. Watch the new trailer for the tank driving girls below…
This May in World of Tanksbrings teams from three of the schools where the art of sensha-dō is followed, these are Team-Ankou from Ōarai Girls’ High School, Kuromorimine Girls’ High School and Jatkosota High School. These three teams will bring their spirited personalities to the battlefield with custom voiceovers provided by the anime’s actresses. Throughout the battle players will be able to hear the voices of all Team-Ankou from Ōarai Girls’ High School, the Jatkosota High School Team and Erika Itsumi from Kuromorimine Girls’ High School. Players will be able to choose which sensha-dō team they want to align with, recruit their favourite character to command and complete missions.
During this period players will be able to obtain three different tanks: as well as the Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H Ankou, players can get two Premium vehicles inspired by the anime – the Tiger II Kuromorimine and the BT-42 Jatkosota HS. The Tiger II Kuromorimine features a powerful gun and a very robust armour which fits in well with Nishizumi’s approach to battles. The BT-42 Jatkosota HS excels in close combat with it’s high calibre howitzer.
Players will have access to a range of different 2D customisation items related to the anime, including emblems, inscriptions and decals representing the three sensha-dō teams.
Finally, players can participate in special missions that will reward a variety of Girls und Panzer themed items, including Commanders Miho, Mika and Erika.
