Adam Scott returns to work in Severance season 2 teaser trailer

June 11, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

It feels like an age since viewers were severed from season one of Ben Stiller’s critically acclaimed Apple TV+ drama Severance, but we finally have a sneak peek at the series’ long-awaited return.

During the 2024 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple TV+ dropped teasers for some of their forthcoming shows, one of which was a brief look (via Rotten Tomatoes) at Adam Scott’s return to the world of Lumon Industries for Severance season 2, which you can check out at the bottom of the page.

Created by Dan Erickson, the sophomore season of Severance began production way back in October 2022, but has been delayed due to reported creative differences and two Hollywood strikes.

Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the centre of an unravelling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work… and of himself.

Severance stars Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, Patricia Arquette, Dichen Lachman, and Michael Chernus.

New members of the workforce for season 2 include Gwendoline Christie (The Sandman), Alia Shawkat (Arrested Development), Bob Balaban (The French Dispatch), Merrit Wever (Godless), Robby Benson (Beauty and the Beast), Stefano Carannante (Mirabilia), John Noble (Fringe), and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Tourist).
