Sci-fi dungeon crawler [REDACTED] coming to PC and consoles this October

August 23, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Striking Distance Studios and KRAFTON have revealed that their new sci-fi roguelike dungeon crawler [REDACTED] (yes that is literally its name and it hasn’t just been censored) will be released on  Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on 31st October.  Set in the same universe as Krafton’s The Callisto Protocol, [REDACTED] is a bid for survival in a high-tech prison set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto.  A new trailer can be seen below showing the intense action that players will get to enjoy.

In [REDACTED] players take the role of a prison guard within the high-tech correctional facility, the Black Iron Prison. Whatever has happened to the facility has caused the inmates to become infected and mutated into a variety of abominations and the security systems are indiscriminate in who they shoot. As this lone guard, players will have to ensure their survival by making it to the last escape pod.  Fortunately, this guard will have access to an arsenal of weapons, suits, skills, experiments and more to help them reach safety.

[REDACTED] features:

  • Intense action – Battle waves of mutants and infected inmates and equip a range of guns, melee weapons, skills and upgrades to reach that last pod.
  • The hordes of monsters, mutants and infected inmates are a challenge on their own but the ones to watch out for are the other survivors that want to get to the last pod at any cost.
  • Fight your last corpse – Unless you’re the luckiest person in the world you’re going to die many times before reaching that pod, but that previous corpse is still going to be walking around with the same weapons, upgrades, suit and experiments.  Hunt it down and take it out to earn a high-tier experiment from that previous run.
  • Takes the classic roguelike formula and intensifies it. There’s unlimited replayability, strategic build, progression through death, powerful upgrades and even speed run challenges.

Get ready for [REDACTED] coming to XBox Series X/S, Playstation 5 and PC this October.
