Experience a bit of Agatha Christie in space with Murder On Space Station 52

September 4, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Dionous Games and solo developer Made From Strings have announced they will be releasing their point and click space murder mystery, Murder On Space Station 52 on 25th September for PC.  This atmospheric sci-fi noir title will provide gamers with classic point and click puzzling, an eccentric cast of characters and a true murder mystery to solve.  Watch the new trailer below….

Aboard the titular Space Station 52, the ‘Keychain Killer’ is on a killing spree and leaving keys lodged in the mouths of his victims.  Taking the role of Edward Locke, the station’s new repairman, players will explore his surroundings and attempt to solve the mystery of who the Keychain Killer is.

Players will follow Edward as he explores a hand-drawn, scenic station, questions suspects and collects evidence.  There’s also a meticulous murder board that players are able to consult to refer to previous information gained through the investigation.

The game includes the ability to earn in-game currency by exploring the world and by completing tasks. This currency can be used to customise Edward’s apartment or his aquarium with a variety of items and creatures.

Murder On Space Station 52 features:

  • All the fun of a murder mystery, from searching for evidence to interrogating suspects.
  • Entertaining puzzles to challenge solving skills.
  • A cast of charismatic characters with full voiceover.
  • A hand-drawn world filled with mysteries and dangers.
  • An original, blues inspired soundtrack.
  • In-game currency and unlockable cosmetic items.

“I can’t wait for people to land on Space Station 52 and start investigating on September 25th”, said developer Christopher Mathes. “This game really is a labour of love – the art is hand-drawn, I’ve composed the soundtrack and I’ve voiced most of the characters – so I’m really excited to have people experience the mystery I’ve worked so hard to create for them.”

Murder On Space Station 52 will release for PC on 25th September with a console version in the works.
