Doronko Wanko brings mucky canine antics to the Nintendo eShop in Spring 2025

December 6, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Bandai Namco Studios and developer Phoenix have announced that their mischievous mess-making adventure game Doronko Wanko will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch eShop in Spring 2025.  Accompanying this release is a brand new DLC that adds new dog breeds for both Steam and Switch.  Watch more of the messy action in the trailer below…

Doronko Wanko takes players into a family’s pristine home as a mischievous Pomeranian who likes nothing more than making a mess (the DLC releasing at the same time adds three more puppers). It’s up to players to help this mucky pup make as much mess in the house as possible and cause an equally big clean-up bill.

Players will be able to take a roll in muddy puddles, run into the house and shake to splatter mud in all directions in a way only dogs can do, or jump onto tables, shelves and kitchen counters to create more mess by knocking over liquids like tomato juice, wine, coffee, ink and paint. Unruly Pomeranians can also boop power buttons of nearby electrical appliances, such as robot vacuums and fans to spread mess even further, and there’s even  dirt-spreading wearables like miniature mess cannons and sludge-spouting whales to maximise coverage.

For those who want to challenge their doggy minds, there are misplaced items like mugs and toys scattered around the house and returning these to the right spot can solve puzzles to unlock special gifts that can help rack up a six-figure cleaning bill.

“Whether a veteran gamer needs a cozy, dog-themed palette cleanser, or a young child is experiencing their intro to the wonders of video games, Doronko Wanko provides charming fun for all ages,” says Bandai Namco Studios. “We’re proud to bring an enjoyable, accessible game to such a prominent platform as the Nintendo Switch.”

Doronko Wanko will be available on the Nintendo Switch eShop this coming Spring.
