Scream 7 cast expands with Mckenna Grace and Sam Rechner

December 15, 2024 by EJ Moreno

Neve Campbell will guide some fresh faces through the terror of Ghostface as it has been reported that Mckenna Grace and Sam Rechner have joined Paramount and Spyglass Media Group’s Scream 7.

Mckenna is no stranger to horror. She has previously starred in The Bad Seed, The Haunting of Hill House, and Annabelle Comes Home. The young actress has also starred as Phoebe Spengler in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

Rechner broke onto the scene in Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, playing the bully opposite Gabriel LaBelle. He went on to star in Season 2 of the hit Netflix show Heartbreak High and recently wrapped Out Come the Wolves with Giancarlo Esposito.

The two new additions join Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, and Asa Germann, who were previously announced as joining the film. The roles of these new additions are still unclear, but May has reportedly been tapped to play Sidney’s daughter.

These new cast members are ready to enter the iconic, long-running franchise with an icon steering the ship. Scream still has quite an impact, with the films in the series earning more than $900 million in worldwide box office receipts. Kevin Williamson is directing, and Guy Busick is writing.

Scream 7 is set to hit theaters worldwide on February 27th, 2026.
