The Harry Potter series adaptation is rounding out its cast as production nears.
As we learn about the newcomers who are set to star as our three leads, the latest casting news sees who they’ll play against with the Malfoys, Dursleys, and Weasleys being revealed.
The new castings include Lox Pratt, who is slated to play Draco Malfoy, with Johnny Flynn as his father, Lucius Malfoy. Bel Powley will play Petunia Dursley, and Daniel Rigby will play Vernon Dursley, Harry’s aunt and uncle. Katherine Parkinson has also been attached to play Ron’s mom, Molly Weasley.
We also saw a few more Hogwarts students added with Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, and Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown.
They join the previously cast Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley), and Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger). Additionally, the supporting cast includes John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.
Harry Potter is written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. Mark Mylod will also executive produce and direct multiple episodes of the series. The series has been described as a “faithful adaptation.”
Filming on Harry Potter will begin soon at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK.
