Jurassic World Evolution 3 trailer showcases breeding programs

July 11, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Jurassic World Evolution 3 is about to change the game in a big way as Frontier’s upcoming sequel is introducing breeding and family units. This new addition means players will soon be managing more than just giant enclosures and cranky carnivores, now they’ll have babies to worry about, too.  Want to see it all in action? Check out the video below.

For the first time in the series, players can synthesise male and female dinosaurs with visible differences (yes, sexual dimorphism is a thing now) and pair them up to produce offspring. These baby dinos don’t just look cute, they will also carry traits from their parents, allowing players to influence future generations by carefully selecting which dinos get to pass on their genes. It’s basically like dinosaur matchmaking.

But with great baby dinos comes great responsibility. To breed dinosaurs successfully, players will need to ensure they have built proper nests and make sure each species’ comfort needs are met. Then, once the little ones are running around, players will have to manage their unique social behaviours and how they affect the larger herd dynamic. Players can probably expect their park to get a little more unpredictable.
