Emma Myers returns to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder with new season 2 cast

July 14, 2025 by Ricky Church

Emma Myers has a new mystery to solve in the first image for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season two as several new cast members have been announced for the upcoming season.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is based on Holly Jackson’s mystery trilogy. The first season followed Myers’ Pip Fitz-Amobi, a young bright high school girl, as she begins to investigate the seemingly closed case of Andie Bell, a popular girl who was murdered by her boyfriend. The case proved more complicated than it seemed as the inconsistencies mounted and Pip found herself in danger.

The second season is adapted from Jackson’s Good Girl, Bad Blood. After solving the Andie Bell case Pip’s world has been transformed by her actions, and not always for the better. Pip is determined to fix the fallout – and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, Connor’s brother Jamie suddenly disappears and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice, straying even further from the ‘good girl’ she once was.

Joining the cast are Misia Butler (Kaos), Eden Hambelton Davies (Tell Me Everything) and Jack Rowan (Noughts And Crosses) in key roles with Anna Brindle (The Outs), Peter Sullivan (Around The World In 80 Days), Freddie Thorp (Fate: The Winx Saga), Lu Corfield (The Crow Girl), Stephanie Street (Breathtaking) and Freddie England in supporting roles.

Butler will play Stanley Forbes, a figure on the fringes of the investigation, with connections that may run deeper than they seem. Davies will play Jamie Reynolds, Connor’s brother, a quiet but popular local musician whose sudden disappearance sends shockwaves throughout the community. Roawn will be Charlie Green, Pip’s new neighbor who is drawn into the heart of the mystery unravelling in Little Kilton.

Returning from season one with Myers are Zain Iqbal, Henry Ashton, Asha Banks, Yali Topol Margalith and Jude Morgan-Collie.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is produced by BBC and Moonage Pictures. Jackson and Poppy Cagan have developed it with Asim Abbasi and Jill Robertson directing.
