Wolfenstein TV series in the works at Amazon

July 28, 2025 by EJ Moreno

Amazon is currently developing a Wolfenstein series. Patrick Somerville (Maniac) is attached to serve as the creator, writer, executive producer, and showrunner on the project under his chaoticgood.tv production banner. Jonah Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham will executive produce via Kilter Films.

Details on the plot are being kept under wraps, but the official logline of the series states, “The story of killing Nazis is evergreen.”

The Wolfenstein game series is a long-running franchise of first-person shooter video games that revolve around an alternate history of World War II and its aftermath. The games have centered on U.S. World War II soldier William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, an American spy fighting Nazis in a labyrinthine castle.

The first game in the franchise, Castle Wolfenstein, was released in 1981, with its breakthrough title being Wolfenstein 3D (1992) by id Software. There have been 14 games in the Wolfenstein series in total.

Kilter Films is the company producing the Prime Video series Fallout, set to release its second season in December. Amazon is also developing multiple video game adaptations, including a Mass Effect series, a God of War series, and a series based on Warhammer 40,000, starring Henry Cavill.
