New trailer for Nuremberg sees Russell Crowe’s Hermann Göring facing justice

August 28, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

With less than two weeks until Nuremberg receives its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Sony Pictures Classics has released a new teaser trailer for writer-director James Vanderbilt’s drama.

Based on Jack El-Hai’s book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, the film centres on psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Rami Malek), as he finds himself locked in a complex battle of wits with Hitler’s right-hand man Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe) as he attempts to determine who is fit to stand trial for their crimes.

Joining Oscar-winners Malek and Crowe in the cast are John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Lydia Peckham, Wrenn Schmidt, Lotte Verbeek, and Andreas Pietschmann. Check out the trailer below…

The Allies, led by the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon), have the task of ensuring the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust while a US Army psychiatrist (Rami Malek) is locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Herman Göring (Russell Crowe).

Nuremberg arrives in cinemas on November 7th in the US and on November 14th in the UK.
