World War II romantic thriller Desperate Journey gets a trailer and poster

Emblem Pictures has released a poster and trailer for director Annabel Jankel’s romantic thriller Desperate Journey.

Based on true events, the film follows Freddie, a young man who flees Vienna as Nazi hysteria takes hold and finds himself in 1940s Paris where he becomes involved in the glamourous yet dangerous world of burlesque.

The cast includes Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Clara Rugaard, Til Schweiger, and Steven Berkoff. Watch the trailer below…

As the Nazis invade, Freddie Knoller is forced to flee Vienna. Stranded in Paris, penniless and in urgent need of papers, he takes a job at a notorious burlesque club frequented by high-ranking Nazis. In this glamorous yet dangerous world, he falls for the lead showgirl and is drawn into a chain of events that will change his life forever.
