October 1, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Netflix has shared a trailer for the Brazilian crime drama series Rulers of Fortune, ahead of its arrival on the streamer later this month.

The series follows the rise of Profeta (André Lamoglia), a young man who shakes the structures of illegal gambling in Rio de Janeiro as he aspires to take the throne of its criminal underworld. Check out the trailer and official promotional images here…

Rivalry, mafia, and family intrigues set the tone for the Rulers of Fortune, a new Brazilian series that shows how the rapid rise of the young Profeta (André Lamoglia), a new aspirant to the throne of illegal gambling in Rio de Janeiro, shakes the structures of the gambling underworld. Amidst this, the imminent legalization of gambling and the individual ambitions of this plot make it nothing like before.

The cast includes André Lamoglia, Chico Diaz, Giullia Buscaccio, Juliana Paes and Mel Maia, and Xamã.

Rulers of Fortune arrives on Netflix on October 29th.
