The Elf on the Shelf: Christmas Heroes brings early Christmas cheer to PC and consoles

October 22, 2025 by Andrew Newton

If you’re eager to get into the Christmas spirit, but the only place that matches your mood is the seasonal aisle at your local supermarket, then Outright Games’ The Elf on the Shelf: Christmas Heroes may be just the thing you’re after. Available now on PC and consoles, The Elf on the Shelf: Christmas Heroes is a 2D puzzle-platforming adventure for children of all ages. Watch the launch trailer below…

The shelfed Elf celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with a new game that invites children and families into the world of Father Christmas and his helpers. Players will head to the North Pole where they will take on the role of a Scout Elf-in-training and help their elf through 24 fun levels. Guide the Elf through lively training grounds and deep into the festive heart of Santa’s Workshop, where players will solve playful puzzles, cookie-themed challenges, and delightful mini-games.

Players will be able to make use of the easy-to-use controls and useful accessibility options, such as the invincibility mode, and auto-collection, which will allow even the youngest of players to enjoy the Elf’s antics.

Features:

  • A Christmas story to follow and minigames to enjoy.
  • Complete Elf training and help Father Christmas learn who has been naughty and nice.
  • Sort ornaments, solve puzzles, match different cards, and work your way through mazes.
  • Run, jump, and swing through levels to increase the Christmas Spirit Counter.
  • Personalise your Elf with plenty of accessories.

The Elf on the Shelf: Christmas Heroes is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
