Starship Troopers: Extermination launches Echoes of Sparta update

October 22, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Offworld and Knights Peak are celebrating the first anniversary of Starship Troopers: Extermination with the free Echoes of Sparta update. This new content update introduces a new map, new threats, and a new Bug type to exterminate, the first to arrive since the game’s launch. Watch the new trailer below to see why the Federation needs you….

Over the past year, players have defeated over 1.2 billion Bugs, but the war is far from over. With this new update, Troopers will get to fight the Bugs in space, on a brand-new map called Sparta. The Bugs have managed to cause chaos on board the massive spaceship Sparta, and the mission is simple, take back control of the ship from the Arachnid threat. Troopers will be able to deploy on this map in AAS, Horde, Hive Hunt, and SOG Missions.

Troopers need to beware of the new Bug threat appearing on battlefields. The highly anticipated Scorpion Bug has been causing devastation on battlefields everywhere with its menacing array of attacks. This Bug can give even seasoned Troopers a run for their money.

Finally, the update sees the arrival of the new Galactic Front, accompanied by a new set of perks that will keep players busy. Plus, there are bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.

The Echoes of Sparta update is available for Starship Troopers: Extermination now.
