The Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol is getting yet another big screen adaptation with Johnny Depp starring as Scrooge in Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, and now as reported by Deadline, the film has added Tramell Tillman (Severance) and Ian McKellen (The Lord of the Rings) to the cast of this latest horror-tinged take on the holiday classic.
Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol will be directed by Ti West for Paramount. Known for directing the X horror trilogy, made up of X, Pearl and MaXXXine, West’s take will seemingly focus on the supernatural side of Dickens’ novel as “a thrilling ghost story set in Dickens’ London” as it follows Scrooge’s “supernatural journey to face his past, present and future and fight for a second chance.”
