Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is set to reunite with director Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World), with Deadline revealing that the star has secured the role of Sarah Connor in the forthcoming reboot Terminator: Genesis, having fought off competition from Brie Larsen (21 Jump Street).
The actress will be joined in the cast of Genesis by namesake Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), who is set to portray her son (in the future, obviously) and the leader of the human resistance, John Connor. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also attached to reprise his signature role as The Terminator.
Terminator: Genesis is set for release on July 1st 2015.
