Ghostface has New Year’s resolutions in Scream 7 teaser

January 2, 2026 by Ricky Church

With 2026 upon us now, Scream‘s iconic killer Ghostface has made a list of New Year’s resolutions in a new teaser for Scream 7.

The brief teaser pokes some fun at the start of the new year as Ghostface’s top resolution is to “call old friends more and pay them a visit”, a clear nod to Neve Campbell’s return to the slasher franchise as heroine Sidney Prescott after sitting out the sixth installment. Among Ghostface’s other resolutions is to do more cardio and keep his knife sharpened for his would-be victims.

The new teaser comes just under two months from Scream 7‘s release at the end of February. The film is written and directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson and sees Campbell reunite with several characters from throughout the Scream films, including dead ones such as David Arquette’s Dewey Riley and previous Ghostface killers Stu Macher and Roman Bridger, played by Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley respectively. How exactly they will play into the story given their untimely fates remains to be seen.

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

Scream 7 features the return of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Matthew Lillard, Scott Foley and David Arquette with newcomers Isabel May, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons and Mark Consuelos.

Scream 7 arrives in cinemas on February 27th.
