Trailer for Desert Warrior starring Anthony Mackie, Ben Kingsley and Aiysha Hart

March 13, 2026 by Amie Cranswick

Vertical has shared a trailer for Desert Warrior, the 7th century-set historical action drama from director Rupert Wyatt.

The film follows the Arabian Princess Hind, as she and her father flee into the desert, hunted by mercenaries after defying the wishes of a ruthless emperor, where they encounter a legendary bandit who aids them in their fight to unite warring tribes and make a final stand against the tyrannical emperor.

The cast includes Anthony Mackie, Aiysha Hart, Ghassan Massoud, Sharlto Copley, and Ben Kingsley. Watch the trailer below…

Set in seventh-century Arabia, Princess Hind (Aiysha Hart) defies her fate, refusing to become a concubine to the ruthless Emperor Kisra (Sir Ben Kingsley). Fleeing into the desert with her father, she is hunted by a merciless army and forced to trust a legendary bandit (Anthony Mackie) with secrets of his own. Rising from fugitive to fearless warrior, Hind unites warring tribes for a final stand—the Battle of Dhi Qar, a clash that will change history forever.

Desert Warrior arrives in cinemas on April 24th.
