Variety reports thats Boyhood star Ellar Coltrane has signed on to Barry, the new film which focuses on the college years of President Barack Obama.
The film, directed by Vikram Gandhi and written by Adam Mansbach, author of Go the Fuck to Sleep, has also signed Straight Outta Compton star Jason Mitchell to the cast. Previously it was revealed that Devon Terrell (Codes of Conduct) was to play the young Obama in the film, with The Witch breakout star Anya Taylor-Joy also part of the cast.

The film will revolve around Obama’s time as a college student and takes place in 1981 as he tries to find his way in New York City. Taylor-Joy plays a fellow student.
Production is set to next month.
