The Judoon return this August in new Doctor Who adventure for the Eleventh Doctor

May 6, 2026 by Andrew Newton

The Eleventh Doctor Adventures: Hidden in Plain Sight is a new full-cast audio adventure for the Eleventh Doctor and companion Eleanor Fong, heading to Big Finish this August.  Revealed on The Whoniverse Show, on the official Doctor Who YouTube channel, this upcoming adventure sees the return of the Judoon, the rhino-like space police-for-hire that first appeared in the  2007 Doctor Who TV episode Smith and Jones.

The Eleventh Doctor (Miles Taylor) and his new companion, Eleanor Fong (Jasmine Bayes), set out through time and space on her first trip to an alien planet, but it’s here that Eleanor encounters one of the Doctor’s sometimes adversaries, the Judoon, who have taken over the jurisdiction over the planet Hefestis, much to the annoyance of the population. It’s not long before the Judoon mistake the time travellers for detectives from the Shadow Proclamation.

The three adventures included in this box set are:

Tyranny of the Judoon by Ben Tedds – The people of Hefestis are living in the shadow of the Judoon thanks to an ominous and mysterious threat. Journalist Octavia Cain wants to find out the truth, and believes she has found two Shadow Proclamation detectives who can help. However, the Doctor and Eleanor are not part of the Shadow Proclamation.

Gambit of the Judoon by Ben Tedds – The Doctor and Eleanor are still on the run from the Judoon after being mistaken for detectives from the Shadow Proclamation. The Judoon are on the hunt for them and will not give up easily.

Miles Taylor and Jasmine Bayes

Wanted Dead and Alive by Beth Axford – It’s a well-known fact across the universe that the Doctor dies on the shores of Lake Silencio, but an old friend has arrived to ensure that won’t happen.

Joining Miles Taylor and Jasmine Bayes are Nicholas Briggs as the Judoon, Louis Davison, Julie Teal, and Alan Cox.

The Eleventh Doctor Adventures: Hidden in Plain Sight is due for release in August 2026 and is now available to pre-order as a digital download to own for just £19.99, from the Big Finish website.
